Residents are advised there is a thunderstorm watch issued for our area this evening, Monday, July 3. The greatest threat of thunderstorm is from 4pm to 8pm. Strong winds up to 65 mph and isolated large hail up to 1" in diameter are possible. Localized flooding is possible. Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasting and take precautionary measures to secure outdoor items. Please note there are thunderstorms in the forecast tomorrow, but it is anticipated the threat is not as severe as this evening.
There is potential for downed tree branches and power lines. If you lose power, notice must be given directly to ConEdison. You may report and monitor power outages through their mobile app, online, or by phone 1-800-752-6633. If you see downed electrical wires, do not go near them. Report any downed wires to ConEdison.
