Restoration efforts at Four Corners continues. The property management company is actively working through permanent restoration efforts. A private water utility lateral pipe experienced a rupture, which caused damage to their property. At present, the property management company was able to have a contractor provide a temporary repair to prevent any furtherance of the situation, however, they are now faced with needing to carry out a permanent restoration; which will likely include needing to replace their entire private utility lateral pipe. This necessary work will continue to require disturbance to the property as the private utility lateral pipe is underground. Restoration is fully on private property, support for restoration is continuously provided by the Village Manager, Building Inspector, and other staff as is necessary to work through the permitting process. As always, the Village has an obligation to ensure that New York State building code and other regulations are followed.
The property management company has hired a group of professionals to work on their plans for permanent restoration. This team has a civil engineer guiding the operation; the parking lot configuration is under their purview. Measures must be taken to ensure safety throughout the duration of this required unforeseen project. Full restoration is expected in roughly three weeks.
All businesses are currently open for business and will continue to be able to operate during construction! Please utilize street parking as much as possible and walk over to the shopping center. Your patience and understanding is appreciated during this time. This has been a challenging situation to navigate for many.
