On Monday night, the Board of Trustees presented Eagle Scout Matthew Michailoff with a proclamation, recognizing his impressive work at the Town Library. For his Eagle project, Matt designed and built a sustainable sensory garden on the grounds using native plants. Prior to commencing work, Matt also cleared significant overgrowth from the area. Matt has earned twenty-five merit badges and has been a Den Chief, Patrol Leader and Troop Historian.
The Board also appointed longtime Pelham Manor resident Joseph Liberatore to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Joe is a CPA and holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree from Fordham University. Joe has more that 35 years of experience as a financial and operations executive, working in investment banking, real estate, insurance, healthcare and non-profits. He presently heads a consulting practice and is an adjunct lecturer at the college level. Joe is a trustee of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in the Bronx and is active in our community, volunteering at OLPH church. When not working and volunteering, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Marian Russo, M.D., along with his children, Grace and Joseph Jr.
