Update July 31 at 11:13am: ConEdison crews remain on-site for the Secor Lane situation. ConEd has assigned one of their highest up overhead employees to the location as there is very high voltage being worked on between two feeders, making it a rather complicated situation. However, there is confidence the remaining residents without power (~25 homes) will be restored by the end of the day. Thank you for your patience as crews work to safely restore the final sections of power.
Update July 30 at 3:25pm: ConEdison crews are on-site at Secor Lane and working through their process for restoration. The crew leader has advised they are hoping to restore power this evening. The same crew will be tending to the down wires on Manger Circle.
Original Post July 30 at 11:36am: Residents are advised the Village has been communicating with ConEdison about the downed tree branches, wires, and power outages. The fast moving storm yesterday evening caused more damage that anticipated throughout the County, which has required ConEdison to call in mutual aid crews for assistance. Village leadership will continue to advocate with ConEdison about expediting restoration. We remind everyone that it is critical to treat all downed wires as if they are energized and to stay as far away as possible. Please use caution walking around the neighborhoods. Power outages can be monitored on ConEdison's website or mobile app.
